it's just exoskeleton, because they lack vision, ergo spiritual spine (integrating the whole)

I'm zealous, and indifferent to [status quo, for sake of status quo];
and that matter-of-fact attitude pisses people off, to the degree that they are emotionally attached to said status quo;
